Nation to Nation Update February 17th 2018

Spread the Word!

Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I wanted to thank every prayer warrior who remembers us at the Throne of Grace as we travel up to the Pine Ridge Reservation to share the Gospel. This trip was of course snowy and cold. The mission was accomplished. There was some difficulty as we were waiting for the Conex box to be delivered. The blizzard prevented its arrival and has to be rescheduled for two weeks out. This was a true lesson in patience and faith for this guy.

The much needed food for the Lakota people got to where it was suppose to go. I thank God for all of the volunteers who stage and load the food truck and for Mark Williams’ our driver who isn’t afraid of snow. For David who is always ready to get the mission done. And for Roger Hoagland who got us some new tires for the Nation to Nation food truck and was at the Pine Ridge Reservation this week as well. For Steve Bower our chairman and my go to guy.  I am thankful for my dear wife, Lei who acts as co-pilot and navigator and spiritual counselor. I did not know until we were headed back, she was able to plant some seeds of “Hope in the Lord” with a Lakota woman who struggles with family issues.

As we were preparing to load the food truck on Wednesday, we were joined by a man by the name of Matthew. The son of Arlan (another volunteer) & Ruby from Grace Community Church, our home church. This Man a Navy & Army Veteran, family man, born again Christian sings on the worship team worked non-complaining, He has a disability however he doesn’t cry about it. He was an encouragement to all of us.  I mentioned earlier about a lesson in patience and faith, this encouraging good man struck a “chord for the Lord” with this missionary. As Matthew so clearly does I will learn better that as we work in

God’s kingdom we need to bear our cross and endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The Bible says it. I believe it and that settles it.

Please keep us in Prayer as the Lord’s plan goes forward. It all belongs to Him. His will be done. Praise the Lord!

Through Christ,

Pastor Dennis
